Friday’s before the regular NFL season kicks off has essentially become football’s version of “black Friday.” It’s a exciting and fulfilling moment for some, and a disappointing yet motivating day for others.

The Washington Redskins announced Friday night that they’ve released the following players:

WR Terrence Austin

DB Travon Bellamy

FB Dorson Boyce (Injured)

T Tom Compton

C Erik Cook

QB Jonathan Crompton

RB Tristan Davis (Injured)

NT Marlon Favorite

C Grant Garner

LB Donnell Holt

LB Brian McNally (Waived with injury settlement)

TE Richard Quinn

The team also announced that it has placed exempt DE Kentwan Balmer on the Reserve/Left Squad list and S Tanard Jackson on suspended list.
