Visanthe Shiancoe signs with Patriots

The Patriots have signed TE Visanthe Shiancoe to a 1-year, $1.2 million deal.  Shank has been in gradual decline, seeing his catches and receiving yards decline in each of the past 3 seasons.  The 32-year-old isn't much of a threat in the passing game any longer.  New England brings him on board to serve in a blocking role.  It'll free up TEs Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez to go out in pass routes even more often.  Shiancoe remains well off the fantasy radar.
