Tim Hightower drops too many balls

Pro Football Focus notes that Washington's Tim Hightower has the most drops (16) and the worst drop rate (14.7%) among all RBs over the past 3 seasons. It's just another reason to be skeptical of recent reports that he's the favorite to start for the 'Skins this season. Besides being more explosive and powerful than Hightower, RB Roy Helu is also a better passing-down option. He dropped just 4 balls on 56 targets last year (7.1% drop rate), and also graded out better than Hightower as a blocker. Our money remains on Helu to lead this backfield in touches this season.
