Santana Moss to maintain significant role

Redskins WR Santana Moss missed 4 games and finished with just 46 catches for 584 yards last year.  And after the team added WRs Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan this offseason, it looked like Moss was on his way out.  But after reporting to OTAs in tip-top shape, it now looks like he'll maintain a significant role.  “Santana’s entire offseason... to me he came in possessed. He was ready to go,” OC Kyle Shanahan said. “You saw it physically, and then to see him in the meeting rooms, he’s been great. He’s been so attentive and it’s shown over to the field. The guy’s not thinking out there, he’s confident in his speed. He feels confident in his knowledge of the offense and there’s no hesitation. He’s been very exciting.”  Moss is expected to spend most of his time in the slot, where he can use his quickness and craftiness to create separation.  His upside is limited as the 3rd or 4th option in the pecking order, but the 33-year-old could still be a useful bye-week fill-in.  We just bumped him up our rankings.
