Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger revealed that he has a “little torn rotator cuff” in his right (throwing) shoulder. Big Ben reportedly suffered the injury in a Week 9 loss to the Ravens last year. He played through it, didn’t need offseason surgery, and doesn’t appear worried about the situation heading into 2012. “He says it feels fine, that his arm feels strong and that it should not hamper any of his throws,” reports insider Ed Bouchette. Roethlisberger’s confidence is encouraging, and we didn’t notice any arm issues after that Week 9 game. Still, we’ll be keeping a close eye on how Ben looks in preseason action over the next month. We’re not adjusting his 2012 projections right now.
