Notre Dame’s All-Pro Linebacker Manti Te’o will be in sunny San Diego in the next couple of days to visit the facility and have a meeting with new GM Tom Telesco, Head Coach Mike McCoy, and Defensive Coordinator John Pagano. The Heisman runner up will also have a workout with the team and most likely will be going over film.
The Chargers have a huge void at Inside Linebacker with the recent departure of Takeo Spikes.
Te’o will be asked many things, but the question he has had to answer all off season is what happened in that Alabama game?
What Te’o would bring to the Chargers is versatility, athleticism, and his IQ. Last season Te’o picked off 7 passes and had 113 tackles which is phenomenal. Te’o could fill that void, but it is unknown if he will fall to SD’s 45th pick in the 2nd round.
