Make peace with your past so it doesn’t interfere with your future.
It sounds simple but for victims of child sexual abuse (CSA), like former Eagles’ linebacker Al Chesley, it can take thirty years, for others a lifetime. Until survivors can find peace, they often mask their suffering with aggression, self doubt, drugs, bad relationships and other destructive behaviors. Overcoming this and moving from victim to survivor is the focus of Invisible Scars, a documentary being co-produced by Johnna Janis and features the stories of Al, Andrew Willis, Johnna herself and many others.
Pro Player Insiders Melissa Mahler hosted a roundtable discussion with Johnna, Al and one of New York’s original “madmen” Andrew Willis (CEO Stop Abuse Campaign) to discuss their “invisible scars” and how they are helping to bring about healing and end child sexual abuse.
