Detroit vs. Atlanta:
I NEVER go back and watch a game once its over – there’s something about sporting events you have to see them live. After reading all the tweets about this game I had to fire up the DVR and watch the 2nd half and it was worth it for Theo Riddick’s ridiculous one handed catch alone!
The Steelers vs Colts was an insane game! The Steelers scored 28 points in the 2nd quarter alone and Brown was responsible for 12 of them including this impressive one handed grab.
J.J.Watt Sack Selfie:
When you’re a rookie quarterback making your first start the last thing you want to do is bring unnecessary attention to yourself by doing something silly like taking selfies while making stupid faces, and the last person you want to welcome you to the NFL is J.J. Watt. Watt said it best “ this is the National Football League, not high school..so welcome to the show”
Ben Roethlisberger had his best day ever throwing for 522 yards and 6 touchdowns he also became the first player in NFL history to throw for more than 500 yards twice in his career. The Steelers offense looked like they finally hit their stride and are ready to make noise in the AFC North at 5 and 3.
Jordan Reed Sideline Catch:
For all intents and purposes this was the game winning catch. On the opening drive in overtime Reed showed amazing body control and managed to get two feet in bounds to make this catch and move the Redskins into field goal range.
Peyton Manning Blowing Up the Scoreboard Operator:
I love Peyton as much as the next guy – part of what makes him great is that he is fiercely competitive. I get it, it’s hard to just flip a switch and turn it off, but give the scoreboard operator a break. I understand he was wrong for getting the crowded pumped up when you were on offense but the game was basically over. This might be a sign that you need to dial it back a notch.
Sammy Watkins Premature Celebration:
Watkins really showed his age on this premature celebration. NFL 101: everyone is fast thats why you never slow down. I’m sure Watkins will learn this lesson watching this play on the not top 10 all week. Come on rook!
Zach Mettenberger’s Selfies:
I really blame this on the people around Mettenberger. Someone should have told him to stop it. You don’t see Manning; Brady, or any elite quarterbacks taking selfies. Focus on the snap count not snap chat.
Jets Trying to Hide on a Return:
Drastic times call for drastic measures, so I can understand why the Jets tried to use their uniform as camouflage on a kickoff return this week against the Bills. Unfortunately for the Jets like the rest of their season this was an epic fail.
