Buffalo Bills Defense:
A loss last week would have knocked the Bills out of playoff contention. This meant the Bills couldn’t afford to make any mistakes against the Packers and they didn’t. They held Aaron Rogers, the odds on favorite for NFL MVP, to the lowest completion percentage(41%) of his career; his lowest QBR rating (17) since 2012 and for the first time in his career he threw multiple interception and zero touchdowns.
The Playoff Hunt:
As a Bills fan I haven’t been able to really experience the excitement of a late season playoff push for the last few years. I love that Every game matters whether its for the last wild card spot or home field advantage teams are fighting to keep their season alive. The best part are all the crazy playoff scenarios; I’ve even embraced the fact that the winner of the NFC South will more than likely have a losing record.
Odell Beckham Jr:
Beckham is continuing his campaign as the stand out in what is an extremely talented wide receiver rookie class. This past week against the Redskins Beckham caught 12 passes for 143 yards and recorded his first career three touchdown game. What is more impressive is in his last seven games Beckham has 61 receptions 866 yards and 6 touchdowns.
This Horrible Call:
As a former player I hate to admit this, but one call can change the entire course of a game, and thats exactly what happened in Seattle. It turned what should have been a Seahawks field goal into a touchdown and the 49ers were never able to recover. Player safety is a very important issue but it is also important to protect the integrity of the game.

The Bears Fake Punt:
There are plenty of teams in the NFL with worse records but none are more disappointing than the Bears. There are coaches talking negatively about players in the media, players fighting each other in the locker room and their coach will most likely be fired by the end of the season. If their problems off the field weren’t bad enough, on Monday night they tried to run a fake punt with only 10 players on the field. They have enough trouble with all 11 players on the field so needless to say 10 didn’t work out any better. Not only were they short of the first down they also got a penalty for an illegal formation.
I was excited when the Browns announced that Manziel would be the starter this week. I expected him to provide a spark of excitement to the Browns offense…boy was I wrong. We’ve seen some pretty bad quarterback play this season (I’m looking at you Geno Smith) but Manziel has by far been the worst. His QBR rating of 1.0 was the lowest for any quarterback this season.
