Bobcats Chris Whitney Talks NBA with Laron Profit

AUDIO In this edition of ProPlayerRadio with Dave Zirin,  Laron Profit fills in for Dave to interview former NBA teammate Chris Whitney.  Chris Whitney is currently the Player Development guru for the Charlotte Bobcats, and is employed by his former teammate, Michael Jordan.

Laron and Chris talk about the NBA lockout, how the Bobcats have adjusted to their new coach, Paul Silas, and what it’s like to work for Michael Jordan.  They also analyze the Miami Heat’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA finals, lament over the retirement of Shaquille O’Neal, and predict a return to “Big Guy” play of old.

Chris Whitney played in the NBA from 1993 until 2004 for the San Antonio Spurs, Washington Bullets, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards.   Laron was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1999, and has also played for the Washington Wizards, LA Lakers and abroad in China, Italy, and Turkey.
