Former Jets WR Plaxico Burress revealed that QB Mark Sanchez played through a shoulder injury last season. “He was battling some injuries last year, shoulder-wise that a lot of people didn’t know about," Plax said. Sanchez only appeared on the injury report with a neck issue, although he did deal with shoulder problems back in 2010. It's possible that the shoulder impacted his play this past year though. Sanchez completed just 5 passes of 21+ yards and saw his yards-per-attempt average dip to a career low 6.4. But we're not going to give Sanchez a pass. Most NFL players are banged-up by October, and a bum shoulder doesn't explain away Sanchez's poor decision-making. 2012 remains a make-or-break year for the former 5th-overall pick.
