Jonathan Stewart signs 5-year deal with Panthers

The Panthers and RB Jonathan Stewart have agreed to a 5-year, $36.5 million extension.  It locks him up in Carolina through the 2017 season.  J-Stew was set to become a free-agent this coming offseason and was rumored to be on the trade block this winter.  But now he's part of Carolina's long-term plans.  Consider it bad news for Stewart's dynasty value considering RB DeAngelo Williams is signed with the team through 2015.  This will continue to be a committee attack.
