William Blackmon is a cornerback/special-teams player for the New York Giants. His primary job this season was as a role player on special teams which included returning two punts for a total of 43 yards. Although Blackmon was not able to return a punt in Super Bowl XLVI, he was able to play a key role on multiple special teams plays that helped lead to the Giants 21-17 victory of the Patriots.
Blackmon was drafted in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers and is a graduate of Boston College. Spending three seasons in Green Bay set Blackmon up for a trade to the Giants in 2010, and he has been with the team ever since. After becoming an NFL champion, Blackmon was honored in his hometown of Providence, Rhode Island on February 16th, 2012. He was presented with a key to the city by Mayor Angel Taveras. Along with receiving a key to the city, he also had a day named after him entitled “Will Blackmon Day.” For more on the story click here.
Blackmon’s family is proud of all his accomplishments. Recently, his wife Shauna showed her support for Will in February’s Super Bowl by wearing an extra special jersey. This jersey was specially designed with our Diamond Duchess touch. Covered with Swarovski crystals, special ties up the side, and a cross on the back signifying their strong Christian faith, this jersey was more than special. This custom fitted jersey suited the fashion savvy Mrs. Blackmon – the recording artist, actress, and model – perfectly. Diamond Duchess has been working with Shauna since the MySpace days, where she still has her amazing songs posted for fans to tune into.
Having fashion sense runs in this family. Will is also involved with a clothing line called Dirty Couture. He helped start the trendy, funky, hip clothing line with his best friend Pasquale Dipippo. The line’s T-shirts can be seen on celebrities like Jersey Shore’s Pauly D. Fans can shop at www.dirtycoutureonline.com
Bedazzling Blackmon’s jerseys has been a pleasure to do over the past three years. It is inspiring to see such a versatile couple support each other in all their endeavors, including their latest victory… as Super Bowl Champs.
