Cowboys VP Stephen Jones would like to see Dez Bryant emerge as the team's #1 WR. "I think (Bryant) needs to be a No. 1 receiver," Jones said. "Not to take anything away from Miles [Austin], but I would submit to you that when we line up out there that the guy that they're most worried about is Dez. And he's got to be that guy, and even when they do try to stop him, the great ones still make a lot of plays." Bryant certainly has the size and athleticism to be an elite receiver at the NFL level. But Jones concedes that Dez still needs work on his consistency, conditioning, and route-running. Of course, who Jones views as the #1 WR isn't as important as QB Tony Romo's thoughts on the topic. In 8 games when both Bryant and Austin were healthy last season, Austin saw 55 targets to Bryant’s 51. The two seem like a toss-up in fantasy leagues this season, but Austin looks like the better value. He's currently coming off the board in the middle of the 4th-round of 12-team drafts. Bryant's ADP sits at 3.09.
