The Patriots have released WR Deion Branch. It's a surprising move by New England, especially after they released WRs Jabar Gaffney and Donte Stallworth earlier this week. The Pats are now left with Julian Edelman behind Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd. Edelman is worth monitoring thanks to New England's high-powered passing game, but we wouldn't spend a draft pick him.
