The Bears have hired Marc Trestmas as HC. He's spent the past 5 years as HC of the CFL's Montreal Alouettes, who won the Grey Cup in 2009 and 2010. Prior to that, Trestman served as a QB coach and/or OC for 9 different NFL teams and 2 different colleges. He's regarded as a QB guru -- good news for Jay Cutler. The hire is a change in philosophy for the Bears, who has spent the past 9 years under defensive-minded HC Lovie Smith.
Update: Chicago has also hired former Saints interim HC Aaron Kromer as OC. Most of his NFL experience is as an OL coach.
