Beanie Wells starts camp on PUP list

The Cardinals have placed RB Beanie Wells (knee) on the PUP list to open training camp.  It's officially time to worry.  Wells played through a bum knee for most of last season, missing 2 games and being noticeably hampered in a handful of others.  He underwent surgery this past January.  It was initially described as "minor," but Wells admitted in May that it was "a little more complicated than that."  He sat out all of the spring workouts and now isn't ready for the start of camp.  Maybe the Cardinals are just being cautious here, but we're getting very sqeamish about Wells' 2012 fantasy outlook.  RB Ryan Williams, who tore his patellar tendon last August, avoided the PUP list and looks ready to roll.  This is still Wells' backfield, but he needs to get on the field soon if he wants to hold off Williams.  We just adjusted our projections for both guys and will continue to monitor the situation.
